Projects, and what they changed.

A pretty screenshot says nothing about the work. For each project: the problem it started from, what I did, and what came of it.

Atelier Bois & Cie — getting found across three districts

The problem. A six-person firm, known by word of mouth, invisible the moment a customer searched for "joiner" online.

What I did. A seven-page site with one page per service and per area covered, a before-and-after gallery of jobs, and a quote form that asks the right questions from the start.

The result. About a dozen qualified enquiries a month, half of them from a phone.

Studio Lumière — a portfolio that loads in a second

The problem. A previous site, beautiful but so heavy that visitors left before the photos even appeared.

What I did. A full rebuild, images served in the right format and size for each screen, galleries sorted by series, and online session booking.

The result. Loading time cut by a factor of five, and twice as many pages viewed per visit.

La Table du Marché — one page, a menu always up to date

The problem. A menu that changes every week, and an owner with neither the time nor the appetite to call a supplier for every change.

What I did. A one-page site with bookings, directions, opening hours, and an interface where the menu is updated in two minutes from a phone.

The result. The menu has been current every week since launch. No involvement from me at all.

Cabinet Duval — a client portal to end email attachments

The problem. Confidential documents traded by email, versions going missing, no record of who had read what.

What I did. A bilingual corporate site plus a secure client portal: document uploads, per-company accounts, notifications, and an access history.

The result. Document exchange by email stopped within three months.

02 No work to show yet?

Three ways to fill this page quickly.

01

Redesign an existing local site, as an exercise

Pick a shop in your town, rebuild its site without selling it to them, and present it openly as an exercise. Work that was not commissioned but is real beats an empty page.

02

Offer two projects at a reduced rate

Two clients at a starter rate, in exchange for a written testimonial and the right to show the work. Say plainly that it is a launch rate, limited in time.

03

Document your own site

The one you are reading is one: explain the choices behind its structure, speed and accessibility. A technical client will judge your own site first.

Your project would be the next one.

Describe your situation and I will tell you frankly whether I have handled something close, and how I would approach yours.
